This week we have a submission from Los Angeles, Cat Clark’s newest single Vert. She describes herself as a producer. ghost writer and solo artist. Through all of her work in various Los Angeles studios she landed a collab with RicFade of Bad Romantic Records. The single dropped last month and is a trap inspired record.
Thoughts on the Track
The song definitely sounds like something already on the radio. I can see the trap inspiration. From the artwork its not the style I was expecting. She focuses the song on talking about drip, fashion, cars and having a tight squad. It is a catchy and upbeat song that you can zoom though traffic in. You can find the song on all streaming platforms by following this link https://lnkfi.re/zN2c6hPj and follow Cat Clark for more music by heading over to her instagram @catclarkmsic.

Wilhelm Duke releases debut project “The Robber Baron”. An old school boom bap record reminiscent of the golden era of hip hop. The 7 track record is entirely produced by Orlando Coolridge of SlumpGang777. The project is recorded, mixed, and mastered by RhymSter of Ever Evolved.
1. Sistine Chapel: We get right into it. There was no hesitation for Wilhelm to start spitting. It had an upbeat style with relevant references.
2. The League: Again, no hesitation on the intro. I get even more of the old school boom bap on this track. Wilhelm Duke is def with the old school style and I love it. I liked the flow and delivery from both artists on this track.
3. Free PPL: He speaks on capitalism and getting money and wealth. I liked the message behind this song and how he was speaking to a girl at different points.
4. Gilded Hilt: Stick out line on this one is “A focused mind will never die.” I really liked that line. This song expressed how we need to expand our horizons including our mind. You have to listen to your heart.
5. By Design: Shots fired off bat. I agree though, these new rappers don’t respect the OGs or the game. He also talks about how fucked this life is and one my fav “conspiracies.”
6. Spirit of the 90s: Throwback to the best of times. It’s like taking a ride through a time machine. He is from my time period for sure. It resonates even more from the Chicago only references. This track is so fun and probably my favorite, feels like home.
7. Forever: Oh this track is funky. I had a hard time keeping up because of the delivery but when I could follow along it was great. This one I just had to sit back and enjoy. It was awesome and made me a fan for sure.
Overall, this was a well put together project and I really enjoyed it. It was a nice change to everything we see in the mainstream media. He definitely took me on a trip down memory lane with the references, beat and overall flow. It was not what I expected but I’m glad this project came across my desk.

I feel like I have been waiting an eternity for Chicago Rapper Erb Dean to drop a song that I can finally share with you!!! I’ve been privy to his work for years now and am over the moon that he is finally released music to the public.
Let’s get right into the track. It starts with a piano flow and then Erb goes right into with his deep and gritty rap. The rough and real track describes his life and the streets. He adds metaphors and rhetoric throughout the song to catch you. It is beautifully done. The streets are can be a dark place that not everyone is susceptible. We can get a sneak peak into that life and what comes with it. A standout line for me is “I feel like I’m a one-man team.” That’s the realist shit ever because that is the case for so many of us.

I love how the beat starts, it reminds me of an old joint. It’s a very catchy and fun track that just makes me want to dance (even though I have two left feet). Meta adds his flavor while still keeping the song light and airy. This is definitely an empowering anthem. “I’m that bitch, watch me fuck it up”, is my new anthem. Quentin has a unique sound and I am looking forward to all the doors that will open due to creative efforts. The song encourages you to be yourself and I am all for it. Being yourself can be challenging for some and to have an anthem that you can connect to can make all the difference. Thank you Quentin Arispe for being yourself and encouraging us to do so as well.
Press Release: Quentin Arispe Releases New Single “I’m That Bitch” Ft. Meta With Tastemaker Americano Label
(Corpus Christi, TX) – Fast rising artist from Corpus Christi TX, Quentin Arispe is dropping their newest track “I’m That Bitch” today and it is fire! The self proclaimed genderless queen comments, “This single is an anthem for self identity; it’s a song that you can scream cry in your car at 4 am, twerk your life away at the club, learn in a dance class, or sing when your wife is at work. I’m not here to push my ideas and lifestyle on you, I’m here to help you understand and love yourself, ALL OF YOURSELF.” The new song will be available everywhere you stream music!
The new song was created earlier this summer at Americano Label’s studio. The song writing and creation process just hit and the collaboration flowed effortlessly between featured Americano Label Artist Meta, Quentin and Grammy award winning producer Mariano Herrera and El Dusty. The new song takes Quentin sonically in a new direction singing and rapping over fun and catchy trap beats but with a solid message, ““I’m that bitch” and that ANYONE can be too!” comments Quentin.
The new EP will be dropping with Americano Label, an imprint started by El Dusty, Latin Grammy nominated DJ and producer, with the mission to bring various Latin styles to the forefront of dance music. “We are super excited to work with our homie Quentin on this heater! And the EP is loaded with amazing sh@*!!!” comments El Dusty, label owner and producer.
Reflecting back on his process and musical journey Quentin says, “Being a Queer artist of color, most times our music doesn’t reach a large community of people because of social issues and close minded individuals. My goal is to break that by creating a song and music that is digestible to anyone.” The new song is the first single off Quentin Arispe’s new EP ‘Garden’ due out this Fall with Americano Label.
