Today we have the roadrunner live and in studio. Nico Suave takes time out of his busy traveling schedule to visit the Couch. We find out that his father was a pioneer of hip hop in New York and has a huge influence on Nico’s career. One of his goals is to shoot videos in different countries. He has also gotten his songs played at clubs in Puerto Rico. We touch base on many other topics and break down a few of his albums and music videos.
We touch base on his influences, first concert, being a road runner and of course breakdown song lyrics. After discussing the Soundcloud days we dive into the Roadrunner album which dropped about a year ago. We also talk about building genuine connections. Next we discuss the Dauntless album that is a multi-genre project. When discussing the 222 mixtape we delve into the importance of family and how it was making the album in Puerto Rico.
While Nico does numbers with his music, he was shocked when ‘Love Disaster’ went viral. We talk about how that felt before moving on to other singles and tracks. He also delves into how his mother’s death affected him and when he finally felt the right time was to talk about it on a track. As always there is a segment to talk about performances. Nico Suave brings his own beat for his freestyle. We had to cut it out but you can find the full freestyle here. You can also follow Nico using these links:
