Pianist and composer Julia Thomsen has released “Here for You,” a new single that came out on October 10, 2025. It’s part of something pretty special: the Keys For Empathy compilation from the Contemporary Classical Collective (CCC). They timed the release with World Mental Health Day, and all the money raised goes directly to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) to help people and families dealing with mental health struggles.

The whole point of “Here for You” is right there in the title. Julia’s piano work is warm and gentle, the kind that gives you space to just sit and breathe for a minute. There’s something quietly comforting about it. If you need that kind of moment, this track delivers.

Keys For Empathy brought together 17 different artists, all tackling empathy and mental health from their own angles. You’ve got Lynn Tredeau and Dave Lewis contributing Joy in Every Breath, and Ara_piano teamed up with Daniela Spadini for Legàmi di Pace. Julia’s reflective style sits well among them, adding that calm, grounded feeling to the mix.

Releasing this on World Mental Health Day feels right. It’s more than just another single. Julia keeps finding ways to reach people through her music, reminding listeners they’re not alone and that sometimes a piece of music is exactly what you need when life gets heavy.
