Today, we have a team of creatives coming together to showcase their single “Bussin” form their joint album titled “The High Priestess.” The album is said to exemplify the natural essence of Hip-Hop by having fun and spiting vibrant flows. The song and album have contributions from Rita J, Neak and DJ RTST.
More about the creatives
Rita J comes to us from the South Side of Chicago. She is influenced by the Golden Era of hip Hop along with Gospel, Jazz, Funk, Soul and R&B. Her music has taken her to many heights including touring through Europe and Brazil. After Rita took some significant time off after touring in France with C2C and briefly resurfacing with fellow collaborator Rashaan Ahmad, she connected with Neak to create this 11 song album.

Thoughts on the song and video
Major visual throwback vibes. They take us back to a prime era of rap. The beat and music work well together. Rita delivers a good flow and relies heavily on rhyming the end of each line. She has meaningful lyrics. It’s an eclectic sound that brings you in.
As for the video, I like the concept but not fond of the execution. There seemed to be a bit of awkward angles that could be a bit jolting. The locations and scenes were well thought out. The lighting in some shots was off as well. With some additional editing the video would have been better.
More about the album

Electric…Vibrant…Creative…Humble! The High Priestess album hones in on the core of Chicago-based MC/songwriter Rita J.’s humanity as she freely speaks on her personal trials and tribulations, offers her candid disposition on societal norms, highlights her newfound spiritual unfolding, and much more! Partnering with Chicago-based MC/Producer Neak, Rita J. develops a superbly soulful/jazz-influenced record that exemplifies her modern growth and evolution as an artist.
With Chicago-based MC/producer Rashid Hadee serving as the Executive Producer of The High Priestess, the overall musical landscape is sonically perfected to bring forth the progressive lyrical prowess of Rita J. and the polished retro/live hip-hop production of Neak; aiming to be considered one of the best albums recently noted in today’s music.
