This week we had a very special interview with Full Pound artist Alkatraz. He started off as a dj and promoter. Through his time promoting he made a lot of connections, which he now works with. He started off with Make Money Ent where he released a video, but slowly after the release of the video he began to distance himself and hooked up with Full Pound through a close friend named Darcy.
Personal experiences inspire a lot of his musical content. He also draws inspiration from artist such as Hopsin, Eminem, Pitbull, J.Peguero, and of course his team at Full Pound. Alkatraz is a very versatile artist and will try any genre of music from reggeaton to rap amongst others.
Alkatraz has so many projects that he is working on as well as a few collabs in the works. He is currently collabing with Frenzy, Anonymous J, Matt Porche, Prince Hakeem and a very special feature that you’ll have to watch and see. In the future he would love to work with Hopsin, J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar and ASAP Rocky. He also just recently participated in the Don’t Funk Up Our Beats contest and voting is still going on so make sure to go out and vote. Voting ends in April.Alkatraz has several videos he’s working on including Mollys and Blunts, Instagram Baby among others.
