This week was a special one, while at a music video shoot I ran into a duo from New York who goes by MLCMxNOVA.  They are currently living in New York but have lived all over and are constantly traveling back and forth between New York and Florida. They make contemporary hip hop and have many projects in the works including the “Break It” video, which is why they were down here in Miami. The latest project they are currently working on would be “Forever KL.” There is no release date as of yet because they are going to let the fans decide the release date.
MLCM_G got into rap when he was in high school in New York and then soon after moved down south. C.NOVA moved to Tampa and met MLCM_G and his crew and then became inspired to write and rap. They started Kings Legacy label together.
When it comes to inspiration MLCM_G says that life is his biggest inspiration. When it comes to his music he says it’s like a picture book. When it comes to musical inspiration C.NOVA looks up to Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Jay-z. He also has respect for Diddy. MLCM_G is inspired by his peers but has some musical influences from artist he grew up listening to such as Mystical, Master P, Outkast, and Jay-z. His current favorites include Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and ASAP Rocky.
In the future MLCM_G would like to be more involved in producing and directing videos. This should come easy to him since he starting to co-direct their latest music videos. He would love to work with directors such as Director X and Quentin Tarantino. For C.NOVA he would love to be in the wine and hotel business. In the future C.NOVA would love to work with Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J.Cole, Eminem and Jay-z. MLCM_G would love to work with Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Kiss, Madonna, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. These two artists are definitely very well rounded and motivated and we know that anything they put their mind to in the future they will be successful in.
