Ghost Orchids Lucid Phase

Returning back to the platform we have Lucid Phase with their latest track Ghost Orchids (feat. The Late Ones). Lucid Phase is a reggae band from Los Angeles and on this track they also feature local LA band, The Late Ones, on vocals and Denver based band, Gydnce, on drumkit and chorus bass. The premise of the song is to spread peace which is crucial with today’s climate.

Thoughts on Ghost Orchid

Produced by Lucid Phase at The Dub Room Recording Studio on LA’s famed Sunset Strip, “Ghost Orchids (Feat. The Late Ones)” is recorded and mixed by Lucid Phase band members Cyrus Maleki (Lead Guitar) and Jacob Flack (Percussion). The track is mastered by Chris Gehringer with Sterling Sound (NYC).

Lucid Phase music is such a refresher for this website. I enjoy covering them so much. The music is so relaxing but impactful all at once. Even with their cool tones and delivery they manage to give us some pop culture references like the square and Steve Urkel line. I felt like throughout the song them calling us Ghost Orchids made you connect with song more. I also love at the end how they say, ” Love and music….last forever.” The start of the song sets the mood perfectly and everyone adds onto the mood. While listening I could feel myself on the beach with the palm trees swaying. Each verse is slightly different as there are different singers but they all mesh well together. It flows perfectly together. The production value is top notch. Needless to say, I’ve added this song to my personal library.
