Taking a trip across the sea we head over to London, UK for the first single off of ‘Underground Rap Vol.1″ presented by Le One Music. The first single is title “Ruff Diamonds” and is by Mobb Ryder. With not much else to go off on let’s get right into the review.
Thoughts on Ruff Diamonds
Mobb Ryder goes deep into this song. He talks about his upbringing and personal struggles. He provides an easy flow on the beat and includes pop culture references. There is a portion of the song where he mentions all the people he misses which is quite impactful. He offers advice on how easily life can change in a year. One year the ones you would give your life for turn into your foes. He says he wears his heart on sleeve and if you listen to his lyrics he truly does. Mobb Ryder gives us his all.
The video was very well done, with the drone shots and colors scheme. We follow Mobb Ryder around in some gloomy scenes and areas. And yet there is still some sunshine in the background giving us some hope. The locations are top notch. We get to walk alongside Modd Ryder while getting a glimpse into his mind. I like the scenes near the water, atop a mountain it seems.
If you enjoyed the single you can find the full album on their webpage.
