The Return of Melly’s Couch would not have been possible without this week’s guest. We have Lowski from The Lot podcast on the Couch to discuss the start of his pod, sponsorships, leaving a stable job to go all in, and his secret streaming life.
Since we start at the beginning, we go to the start of The Lot, starting with the meaning of the name “Loyalty Over Treason”. We start with an exclusive break down of the story of the fallout of the friend group and how Low got set up. Finding a structure and co host was an ongoing struggle but Low eventually got it down. He started solo, then with Jenny, then with special guests and eventually Justo came on as a permanent co-host.
Low has always wanted to give back and has produced several shows under his belt like ‘Tea time with Tee’, ‘Situation Saturday’ and ‘Women’s Intuition Wednesday’. He also started a hotline for Women’s Intuition Wednesday where you can call in and give your opinion on things. The Lot posts something every Sunday, so make sure you tune in.
We also talk about the transition from live to prerecorded shows and how this started due to balancing life and creativity. At one point Low decided to leave his day job to pursue his creative passions full time. His family thought he was crazy but is super supportive. He tells us how he’s building a legacy through The Lot for his kids and their future children while still giving his family 100%. He pours into himself by playing ball.
At first, anyone who wanted to come to The Lot could, but as time has progressed, a vetting process has been implemented. Low tells us how the process works and what he’s looking for. We talk about no-shows and cancellations. Low also shares the wildest guest he’s ever had and how he handled it.
We break down season one and two, and all of the highs and lows. The launch party for season two was one to remember since The Lot dropped some merch. Season two also brought on a new sponsor: Wrap Patch. Another monumental moment was when The Lot had it’s first fly in with Dom Cee. Next up we ask about when each season begins and ends and when Season Three will begin. Low also breaks down the significance of the Lot wall and community involvement.
The Lot also attempted to do a freestyle Friday giveaway that didn’t go very well. Low also tells us about the KINGS organization he’s established. Next up we talk about The Lot on the Move and that structure. We break down many of the events they’re gone to. A man of many talents, Lowski has also been an artist manager. He had a negative experience with his first client but has seen a huge difference with his latest artist Fly Goddy. Low is also a professional gamer and we dive deep into his career so far like getting flown out and being hated on by other professionals.
