BeckMilli lays out her goals in her new release, ‘Gotham’. Furthermore, the London aspirant speaks for the generation who wants to push out and break the mould.
‘Gotham’ kicks off with a memorable intro with a piano melody that sounds frightening but exciting. The piano lead plays through for the majority of the piece. For me, I would enjoy for a little more variance because it can become somewhat repetitive, mostly if you are not concentrating on the story in which BeckMilli presents.
Tanaka Makoni smashes it once again with her new release, ‘The Streets’. It is a track which I cannot seem to get enough of with its serene texture and nail-biting hooks which jump out with genuine conviction.
It all gets underway with a peaceful overture which takes us to a peaceful realm with sounds leaping out, and they hit like waves smashing at the rocks. Tanaka then jumps on top of the flowing guitar rhythm with a vocal which is stimulating from the get-go.
Suman is the British name who is taking the world by storm with her latest release, ‘Let Go’. It is the first track to follow up the highly successful release, ‘Crazy Over You’ and once again Suman hits the nail firmly on the head.
Kicking off we hear a hip hop rhythm which contains a groovy backbeat fill with a Latin influence taking the focal point before a powerful vocal performance from Suman. Furthermore, the singer gets underway with a quality which we are becoming familiar with given her previous releases.
Da Poloman and Sara Alavi are back, and they come with a tone which is mesmerising on their latest release ‘Love At First Sight’.
Predominantly a love track, this piece comes with energy which flows from the instant and although the lyrics may sound a little cheesy at times, they still push through with vigour, and the catchiness sticks like chewy on the bottom of a boot.
