Coming straight from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada we have Powderr with his track AJ1. Powderr has been in the game for some time now, starting his rap career at the age of 16. He cites $uicideBoy$, Pouya, Bones, TAZ, Mac Miller, Denzel Curry, XXXtentacion, Eminem, and Logic as his musical influences.
Our Thoughts on the track
Let’s start with the title track, I’ve been out of the show game for awhile so I had to look this one up and then I smiled because it’s a classic. It’s a short two minute song but short doesn’t mean bad. It’s an eerie beat and vibe. He has some dope lines especially the “it’s so cold up in the north, feel it in your spinal cord.” He gives a sneak peak into his life through his music. The song gives us a taste of what Powderr can bring to the table and serves as a teaser for his music.
